Cinema + Chat Night
Saturday February 18th - 6:30-9:30pm. We want to continue building community so we are having this low key event for a time to hangout. Come out for fellowship with cinema and chat (movie and discussion) night. We will be watching True Grit. Perhaps some of you might not agree with Roger Ebert that Westerns were, and might "always be..splendid..." ...and even if you HAVE or HAVE NOT seen the newest [Coens Brothers'] True Grit...come and enjoy pop corn, soulful discussion and good friends! Refreshments and Fun provided!
Bring a friend (remember its the year of "Bring 1" at CGS) and feel free to come at any time in the evening or leave early if you have too. You're not interrupting and we would rather hang with you for 30 minutes than not at all! If you're new to the area or our church we would love to see you there. G&C Teaching Fellowship: Why does Paul sound like he doesn't approve of marriage!?
We are going to get into the meat of Paul's difficult words regarding singles and marrieds in 1 Corinthians 7, and get to the bottom of what this "gift of singleness" means. We will also consider what the church being the bride of Christ affects both singles and marrieds. Hope we will be challenged and encouraged by God's word this Sunday in this difficult passage! Please come on time.
