What is a Shepherding Group?
Shepherding Groups are small group fellowships which are led by and meet in the homes of different members of CGS. Most groups meet weekly (although some groups may opt to meet less often) for Bible study, prayer, fellowship, and mutual encouragement. Shepherding groups help us to grow in Christ’s grace, as we comprehend the gospel and its implications for us both individually and as a community
Our shepherding groups often work together on a service project, such as serving meals at Durham Rescue Mission, lending their skills at a Habitat for Humanity house, or providing manpower for a special Mercy Ministry need.
All members are encouraged to plug in to one of these small groups. Regular attenders are welcome to attend any of the groups. Whether you are a member of this church, a regular attender, or just a curious visitor, our prayer is that you will find a warm, welcoming, and authentic community where you can grow in your understanding of faith in Christ. To join a shepherding group, please get in touch with your flock minister (see listings below).
