Troy is married to Krista and they have one child, Jack. Troy grew up in Asheville, NC and subsequently attended Furman University in Greenville, SC, where he studied Political Science and Religion. He then attended Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando to complete Master of Divinity studies. In 2002 Troy returned to Greenville, SC to serve as the pastor for missions and outreach at Mitchell Rd Presbyterian Church. Troy and Krista met that year at the MTW Global Missions Conference and were married in 2003. Krista is originally from Iowa and attended Covenant College in Lookout Mtn, GA.
